Word for America—January 7, 2021
Showstopper! That’s what I am! Where the show has continued and it seems as if it has no end, I AM THE Showstopper! I interrupt the narrative and come in with the game changing plot twist! From this, I turn it all around!
When it seems to the world that all hope is lost, I am about to rise up with a history making interjection that will be talked about for generations. Yes, many will look back and see how I did the impossible because that is what I do. It is who I am! I interrupt the funeral procession to raise the dead!
Do not think, oh people, that I have forgotten you! I have heard the cries of My remnant and I am stepping in to bring order and realignment! Yes, as I do, My builders and restores shall be loosed to restore and rebuild the altars in your land. They shall advance and rebuild what previous generations laid waste to! They shall rebuild the wall and shall do it with weapons in one hand and a plow in the other! There is a great harvest at hand and they will not fall asleep on their watch!
Truly, I tell you, they shall stand firm and they will never bow their knee again to the god of this age. I shall come through for them and restore America, and reverse the curse and the years lost!
Nehemiah 4:4-10 AMP
[And Nehemiah prayed] Hear, O our God, how we are despised! Return their taunts on their own heads. Give them up as prey in a land of captivity. Do not forgive their wrongdoing and do not let their sin be wiped out before You, for they have offended the builders [and provoked You]. So we built the wall and the entire wall was joined together to half its height, for the people had a heart to work. But when Sanballat, Tobiah, the Arabs, the Ammonites, and the Ashdodites heard that the repair of the walls of Jerusalem went on, and that the breaches were being closed, they were very angry. They all conspired together to come and to fight against Jerusalem, and to cause a disturbance in it. But we prayed to our God, and because of them we set up a guard against them day and night. Then [the leaders of] Judah said, “The strength of the burden bearers is failing, and there is much rubble; we ourselves are unable to rebuild the wall.”
Nehemiah 4:11-18 AMP
Our enemies said, “They will not know or see us until we are among them, kill them and put a stop to the work.” When the Jews who lived near them came, they said to us ten times (repeatedly), “From every place you turn, they will come up against us.” So I stationed armed men behind the wall in the lowest places, at the open positions [where it was least protected]; and I stationed the people in families with their swords, spears, and bows. When I saw their fear, I stood and said to the nobles and officials and the rest of the people: “Do not be afraid of them; [confidently] remember the Lord who is great and awesome, and [with courage from Him] fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and for your homes.”
Now when our enemies heard that we knew about their plot against us, and that God had frustrated their plan, we all returned to the wall, each one to his work. From that day on, half of my servants carried on the work while the other half held the spears, shields, bows, and breastplates; and the captains were behind the whole house of Judah. Those who were rebuilding the wall and those who carried burdens loaded themselves so that everyone worked with one hand and held a weapon with the other. Every builder had his sword secured at his side as he built. And the one who sounded the trumpet [to summon the troops] stood at my side.
Nehemiah 6:9 NLT
They were just trying to intimidate us, imagining that they could discourage us and stop the work. So I continued the work with even greater determination.
Ezra 4:4-5, 12-13, 16 NLT
Then the local residents tried to discourage and frighten the people of Judah to keep them from their work. They bribed agents to work against them and to frustrate their plans. This went on during the entire reign of King Cyrus of Persia and lasted until King Darius of Persia took the throne.
“The king should know that the Jews who came here to Jerusalem from Babylon are rebuilding this rebellious and evil city. They have already laid the foundation and will soon finish its walls. And the king should know that if this city is rebuilt and its walls are completed, it will be much to your disadvantage, for the Jews will then refuse to pay their tribute, customs, and tolls to you.
“We declare to the king that if this city is rebuilt and its walls are completed, the province west of the Euphrates River will be lost to you.”
