To Ascend is to Offend

This morning, my husband and I were discussing a post a well-known prophet had made recently about the opposition he has been facing with his prophecies being blocked on social media as well as pages being made by ill-intentioned people defaming him, calling him a false prophet, and tearing down his family and ministry. I know by observing the fruit of this prophet’s life as well as receiving similar words from the Lord that he is the real deal. I shared about my thoughts when I saw that post, the real reason why people resort to these destructive, misleading, underhanded tactics.

When a true fiery, bold, faith-filled, undignified man or woman of God steps into all that the Lord has destined for them, all the demons in hell tremble; for their impending doom is at hand. We see this again and again throughout the Bible just before demons are expelled and people are set free. I have never forgotten a word shared by YWAMer, Amy Sollars, “The dogs of doom stand at the door of destiny.”

The enemy would like nothing more than to keep this bold lover from stepping into their destiny; but when the enemy fails to do so, he resorts to defamation in order to cause mistrust. This leads to mistrust of the word of the Lord, which has the potential to not only harm the target but also anyone following their ministry.

The enemy will always try to cause an explosion filled with shrapnel to cause a high casualty rate. We have seen this recently through the attack against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. The demonic resistance to the will of God has exploded to such a high proportions that thousands from all over the world practicing in pagan witchcraft have come together planning a public hex tomorrow against not only Kavanaugh, but many others. There is truly a war at hand folks, and we mustn’t treat any of it lightly. Souls are at stake.

Unfortunately those new to the faith, unlearned in the Word and voice of the Lord, and even unbelievers become the victims, of which many fall away and never return to the church. Contrary to popular belief, these attacks are not focused on the man or woman of God walking in obedience. The ultimate goal of the enemy has always been to cause God’s creation to doubt His character. If he is given authority to do so, he can lead God’s people astray. This very thing took place in the Garden. He never had a right to govern the earth, so he deceptively caused those endued with said authority, Adam and Eve, to doubt God’s character. When they fell, they exchanged their crown and dominion over to satan and received punishment and separation from God.

This was never God’s original design. That is why He sent Jesus.

When Jesus died on the cross weighted with the horrific, disgusting, unholy, and eternally damning sins of all of His creation, He burst through the gates of hell and the grave, ripped the keys out of the hands of the condemned one, and rose to life again, victorious; shattering the wall of separation between us and The One True God, The Mighty One of Israel.

While mulling this over with Jeremiah, I told him that I thought it would be a good thing in some ways to be like this prophet and so many others receiving such opposition. My reason for this being: if you are being opposed so greatly, you must be doing something right, or the enemy would never feel threatened or have a reason to stop you from ascending.

In stating this, my heart’s cry and a prophetic utterance came forth from me saying, “I want to Ascend! The higher you Ascend, the more you’re gonna offend!”

This is true in every fashion. Jesus had offended, angry, murderous mobs, and defaming liars following Him everywhere grasping for an opportunity to silence Him. Ultimately, these liars are the ones who cast Him forth in an unjust execution, crying, “Crucify Him!”

In the physical when ascending a high place, there is an unseen line at a specific elevation called a “snake line” in which no snake is able to surpass or survive in. In the pioneering days, settlers would seek high ground; though it be less fertile soil for crops than the lush valleys, they saw the necessity for the safety and security of the high place. Though the terrain require greater strength to trek and cultivate, it was worth the sacrifice. Above the snake line is pure air and water. Purity, untainted by the sins of the low places. People residing above the snake line were healthier in every way.

Ascending is not for the faint of heart, the weighted down baggage carriers, the complacent, those stained with sin, the unforgiving, the unbelievers. These will not survive the journey in ascension.

This is evident with the Lord when you look through Exodus 19 and 24. Moses was the only one allowed to ascend the mountain of the Lord, and God instructed him to place a boundary line that no one unholy was allowed to cross at the base of the mountain. Moses alone made the trek back and forth to convene with God on the mountaintop, and then descend to deliver His message to the Israelites. Eventually, God told him to bring Aaron up, for Aaron had consecrated himself and proven himself worthy.
Chapter 24 begins with God instructing Moses to bring Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and Israel’s seventy elders up. Through this time, the Israelites have seen the Glory of God descend upon the peak where their leader ascended.

Fear of the Lord struck those willing and hungry enough for His manifest Presence and they put off their garbage, cleansed and consecrated themselves to be prepared to ascend. In the ascent, they saw God and dined with the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!

9“Then Moses, Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and the seventy elders of Israel climbed up the mountain.  10 There they saw the God of Israel…
11 And though these nobles of Israel gazed upon God, He did not destroy them. In fact, they ate a covenant meal, eating and drinking in His presence! 12 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Come up to Me on the mountain. Stay there, and I will give you the tablets of stone on which I have inscribed the instructions and commands so you can teach the people.” 13 So Moses and his assistant Joshua set out, and Moses climbed up the mountain of God.
15 Then Moses climbed up the mountain, and the cloud covered it. 16 And the glory of the Lord settled down on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it for six days. On the seventh day the Lord called to Moses from inside the cloud. 17 To the Israelites at the foot of the mountain, the glory of the Lord appeared at the summit like a consuming fire. 18 Then Moses disappeared into the cloud as he climbed higher up the mountain. He remained on the mountain forty days and forty nights.”

It’s time to GO UP! It’s time to GO UP into the Glory Zone!

It’s time to strip off all of the weights, strongholds, secret sins, unforgiveness, offenses, and depravity in our hearts to GO UP, to ASCEND! You cannot take these snares with you and if you choose to keep them and remain in them, you very well may find yourself in the valley of constriction as the python spirit chokes the life out of you.

The fire may strike fear in you at the base of the mountain, but which fire would you choose to pass through? The Refiner’s Fire, the Fire of Holiness and into the manifest Presence and Glory of God on the mountaintop; or the fire of eternal separation from the One Who sought you and called you higher? Will you ascend higher and higher as Moses did and abide there in His glorious Presence; or will you remain outside the wall, outside your tent because what you see now seems so much better?

I assure you beloved, to ascend is to see His face and not perish. However, only dead men may see His face. We must first die to sin and our flesh before we ascend into the Holy of Holies. It is then and only then, that we may find ourselves in the wrap around Presence of The Holy God!

Zechariah 2:5 (AMP)
“For I,” declares the Lord, “will be a wall of fire around her [protecting her from enemies], and I will be the glory in her midst.”
