Without any knowledge or forethought of returning to Southeast Asia, God has prepared a way for me to return. The location is new (and undisclosed for safety reasons) but the vision and mission is the same to respond to Jesus’ command of “Follow Me” with a resounding YES!!!
While fasting and praying for this upcoming trip, a scripture was spoken to me very clearly.
Psalm 2:8 ‘Ask of Me, and I will assuredly give You the nations as Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth as Your possession.’
This is the desire of The Lord for you today!!! Too often, we ask for such small mediocre things. God I need finances, take this stress from me, heal my headache… There is nothing wrong with asking these things, and I celebrate every prayer and act of faith in crying out to God. However, if this is all we are asking for, we are aiming far lower than the Almighy God of the Universe desires or is capable of.
My God is powerful and mighty and does great things beyond what we could ever ask for, hope for, or even imagine. It is time for all of us to come out of small thinking and small prayers and graduate into Kingdom Prayers. I desire a grand inheritance in The Kingdom!!!
God has given me the privilege of traveling to many nations. I know most people may never have the opportunities I have been given, but how many nations have you asked for? How many times have you poured out your heart for those in other countries to know The Lord and walk with Him? How often do you ask God to give your nation to you as an inheritance? Admittedly, I have not prayed as often or as fervently as I should, but God has given me the faith to ask for the nations as my inheritance.
Now, as I travel again, unexpectedly, and without really praying for the specific location He has prepared for me before now, God has found a willing vessel. This is what He wants. Your abilities, talents, and gifts are not important. What is important is your willingness to be filled and desire to be used for His Kingdom.
I encourage you today with this verse that has been on my heart the last month or so:
Romans 12:1 “Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies (dedicating all of yourselves, set apart) as a living sacrifice holy and well-pleasing to God, which is your rational (logical, intelligent) act of worship.”
It is time for us all, once again to worship God in the best way possible, by giving ourselves to Him just a little bit more today and letting Him do what He wants to do in and through us.
God, make us more willing and yielded vessels to You and Your will. Open our mouths to declare Your truth, may our thoughts and prayers be ever for Your Kingdom, and may our every breath be used for service in Your Kingdom anywhere You may take us, whether around the block or around the world. May we all have the faith and an abundance of grace to worship You with our whole lives!!!
Jeremiah, Man on Fire!!!
