Day 3 – Know Me
Key Verse –
Hebrews 8:11 None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them.
“You don’t even know me!” Have you ever found yourself saying this to a friend or maybe even a parent. Worse, have you ever felt betrayal in such a way by someone close to you that you have thought, “I don’t even know you”.
Do you ever walk around with a mask in an attempt to hide who you really are?
In doing this, you are keeping everyone else at a distance. You are pushing them away and as a result, you can never really know them and they can never really know you. You may have a variety of reasons why you may do this, but in the end it hurts rather than help you.
Amazingly, the Creator of the universe, God gives you the opportunity to know Him. You do not have to have a friend, leader, or pastor talk to Him for you. He gives you the ability to come to Him. He desires to reveal to you who He really is.
As equally as amazing is that He knows you completely apart from any masks and loves you for who you are. He made you and loves you unconditionally. Only He can help you become the person you were truly designed to be.
Do you want to know the Creator of the universe?
Do you want Him to reveal who He has created you to be?
Prayer – God, reveal Yourself to Me and help me to know you and the awesome love you have for me. Help me to remove the masks I put up and be exactly who You have designed me to be. In Jesus Name, Amen
Challenge – Spend some time today and ask God to reveal to you, one thing He says about you. Write it down. Show a leader have them confirm it is from God if you are unsure, and have them ask God what He says about you. Put these somewhere where you will be reminded of them.
