We have been in New York City for about a week now and several things are becoming apparent.  First, it is much harder to blog than before, maybe because I am the one responsible to God for making sure we are being diligent in the ministry He has for us.  Second, I am responsible for my wife now when before it was just me.  However, I will continue to update you as often as I can about the happenings here.

First, I want to thank everyone who has been a part of praying for us and partnering with us in this way.  NYC is a good training ground for us before we head out into other countries, and it is amazing to see the level of demonic activity that is surrounding us.  Whether it is because we are on the scene or it is always like this, I do not know, but it is very evident that at least two of these instances were intended to cause us to fear.  We are not fearing, just pressing forward.

Also, things are not looking as I originally thought here, but we are still doing ministry.  Not the crazy awesomeness that I thought, but it is happening.  Please continue to pray that God would open the doors and that we would come to know more about our specific purpose here beyond ministering life and encouragement to my friend Zach.

I wanted to share with you two things that God spoke to me about NYC.  As the plane was landing last week, I began to pray for NYC and ask the Lord to reveal what was going on here.  He spoke to me that He was birthing Fire in NYC.  THis became very evident this week in many ways.  Bethel, JHOP, Hillsong, NAMB and many more amazing ministries have set their sights on bringing the gospel here.  Each of these are already setup and ministering in various ways.

The second thing was one morning, I woke up singing, “My God’s not Dead, He is surely alive. He’s living on the inside roaring like a lion!”  Many people may look at cities like NY and think that it is a godless depraved city.  However, God is not dead here!!!  He is roaring like a lion and waking up His people.  He is calling His children to rise up and take back this Gateway city.  When His people control the gateway cities to the nations, they are the ones letting in the glory of the Lord and keeping out the attack of the enemy.

I want to encourage you in your life that there may be situations, people, places where you feel that are godless and so far removed from God and are without Him.  He is not dead in that person, situation, or circumstance!!!  He is inside and roaring like a lion His truth and love.  Perhaps you are the one He wants to use to bring His truth and love to a situation!  Ask Holy Spirit if there is some way that He can use you to roar our His truth to the people, situations, and circumstances around you.  I bless you with this “My God is Not dead!  He is surely alive in You! He is living on the inside of You!  He is roaring like a Lion in and through You!!!  Let it out and roar the way You were designed to roar as a son or daughter of the Lion of Judah!!!
