These words were impressed upon my spirit as I was working yesterday, “Now Is The Time!!!” Since I could remember I have always felt like I was born in the wrong time period. I am an adventurer at heart and it seemed to me that all the adventure was given to past generations.  The pioneers who settled America, the cowboys of The Wild West, the explorers, and even the knights of the Middle Ages all would seem to have been great groups of people to be a part of.  However, God has placed me right here, right now.  I always wondered: “Why here?” and “Why Now?”  

I do not think that I am alone in these thoughts.  I believe there are many of you who have had the same wonderings.  As I listened to some teaching while working, one of the individuals said “We are living in the greatest time in human history”.  My spirit immediately came alive and Holy Spirit began to say “Now Is The Time!”  Honestly, this is not an uncommon word to me.  Often, I am called to pray out this word in my spirit during gatherings.  There is a prophetic encouragement of the Lord right here and right now saying “Now Is The Time!!!”  This word is almost hanging in the air in front of us waiting for us to grab a hold of.  We can sit back and wish to be a part of generations past or we can see the opportunity and privilege that has been placed before us and seize The Kingdom of God in the here and now.  

We have a saying, “Strike while the iron is hot“.  When metal comes out of the forge, the hotter it is, the easier it is to shape into whatever instrument the blacksmith has need of.  Right now, the climate has never been hotter!  War and rumors of wars, increasing volcanic and earthquake activity, pestilence, famine, riots, plagues… these things are all around us and the fire is increasing.  The time is now to invite The Lord to shape you into the instrument of His choosing that you can be taken up for His using!  I assure you, if The Lord does not shape you into His instrument, the enemy will shape you into his.  You will either be used for the purposes of The Kingdom of God or the enemy.

For the last two years, I have been in the waiting.  I have been watching, waiting, and preparing.  I have been seizing and laying a hold of whatever the Lord has given me for the time no matter how small it may have seemed.  I was given the task of discipling my children last year while Katie was able to go out to Spain and Pakistan.  I was very envious of her calling, but I continued to invite the Lord to come and prepare me for my time. 

Recently, God opened a door that I did not think was even open.  I expressed a desire to go and minister at the CHAZ/CHOP zone in Seattle.  I laid it before The Lord completely and said I am willing.  It was quite surprising how easily that door flung open after nearly two years of waiting and praying for doors to be opened.  Many doors that seemed to have been open in those two years were closed for one reason or another. However, this time, I believe that God looked down and saw the instrument that He has been able to fashion over the last two years and saw the right tool for right now!  After I got the confirmation I was going and had my plane tickets, even until now, my insides are quaking and the thankfulness abounding that I am able to be a part of the great adventure in the here and now.

Now is The Time!!!  Wherever you are, whatever you are doing, I urge you to invite The Lord to come and shape you into His instrument of righteousness to be used for the glory of His Kingdom.  He has a specific calling and purpose for you and now is the time to step more fully into His Kingdom than ever before.  Continually be asking Holy Spirit to reshape, refine, and reforge you that you may be fashioned more fully into a usable instrument for the Glory of God and walk in His Kingdom purposes!!!
