For Such A Time As This

About a week ago, I wrote two posts sharing what the Lord was saying about the newly released bill mandating abortion until birth in New York called, Salvation Through a Babe and What Will Reverse the Curse on America?. If you have not read them, you must. I believe you will find the answer to America’s crisis, prayer and intercession strategies, awakening for the Body of Christ, and practical action to combat the demonic principalities behind what we see in the natural.

God does not speak His Word and His heart for it upon fall to deaf ears; He wants all to hear the Truth and to respond accordingly. God is not silent about the happenings in the earth and among His people; He is revealing His heart to those who are humble and willing to seek Him in the secret place.

One horror of the Holocaust. The number of murders from abortion far exceeds the number of people murdered during the Holocaust.

Roe v. Wade passed 46 years ago legalizing abortion in America and the consequences of it are nothing short of devastating. It is much like the decree of Haman that went out in all of Susa demanding the complete extermination of all Jews in the day of Esther; and like Hitler’s demand that Jews cease to exist with the Holocaust in more recent times. We see even in Biblical history that the enemy set out to destroy all infants and babies in an attempt to kill Moses, whom God would raise up to deliver Jews out of slavery in Egypt; and most importantly is the attempt at ending the life of our Savior, Jesus. King Herod, under the influence of satan, ordered the murder of all babies and toddlers in and around Bethlehem to prevent Jesus from growing to carry out His purpose of establishing His unending eternal government, saving all of mankind, and restoring what was broken when Adam and Eve fell in the garden. The events and people change, but the demonic principalities are still the same. No matter how bad it looks or gets, God still has the final Word and He always wins.

Esther 4:1-3 (NLT)
“When Mordecai learned about all that had been done, he tore his clothes, put on burlap and ashes, and went out into the city, crying with a loud and bitter wail. He went as far as the gate of the palace, for no one was allowed to enter the palace gate while wearing clothes of mourning. And as news of the king’s decree reached all the provinces, there was great mourning among the Jews. They fasted, wept, and wailed, and many people lay in burlap and ashes.”

Mordecai had received an edict issued by King Xerxes, influenced by evil Haman, decreeing the destruction, slaughter, and annihilation of all Jews 11 months from the date of its issue, Passover (ironically the same day Jews from all provinces came together to celebrate their liberation from slavery in Egypt unto freedom through Moses’ obedience.) Haman had an obsessive hatred of Mordecai and his Jewish lineage; and his hatred only deepened when Mordecai refused to bow down and worship him like the rest of the province was ordered to do. Feeling the desperate pressure of impending doom, Haman thought he would triumph over his enemy by wiping them out completely. From appearances this seemed to be a racial war unto genocide; however, it’s true source was spiritual battle of good v.s. evil; death v.s. life. This is the truth behind the abortion agenda.

Mordecai’s response is one that we as the Bride of Christ should have when laws are proposed or passed declaring the destruction, slaughter, and annihilation of God’s innocent, His Little Ones. His mourning and deep anguish was not hidden or pressed down to save face; it got ugly and was not a pleasant sight. He could have hidden in his home and wept in loneliness, yet he took his despair right to the king’s gate and made his undignified response known.

I must ask a self-analyzing question: When receiving news of the latest appalling laws disregarding the sanctity of life for His babies, have you ugly cried before the Lord and man and allowed even a glimpse of the anguish of God’s heart to touch you and move you unto action? Have you made your voice known in opposition and truth? If not, I strongly encourage you to go before the Lord and ask Him to search your heart for anything out of order that may have hardened your heart, that may have transformed empathy into apathy.

We see the Jews fasted, wept, and wailed in mourning. They did not need to be told to do any of these things. It became a natural response, recognizing their dire need of a Savior to step in. That morning coffee or lunch at a restaurant no longer took precedence over seeking His face like never before. They got back to God’s Word in Isaiah 58. (I must interject the narrative and also state that the Jews had been exiled long enough at this point that they had become assimilated into the Persian culture to the extent that most people no longer knew Jew from Gentile. Their very own queen was evidence of that. It was a secret of divine appointment that God would place a Jew as queen over a Gentile nation.)

V. 4 (AMP)- “When Esther’s maids and her eunuchs came and told her [what had happened], the queen was seized by great fear. She sent garments to clothe Mordecai so that he would remove his sackcloth, but he did not accept them.”

Esther was deeply distressed, seized by great fear (fear of man) in just hearing of her cousin’s behavior. She sent him clothes to put on to cover the distress he, himself, was displaying before the world. I will be bold enough to propose that Esther’s response is a reflection of much of the Bride of Christ today. She spent her days within the confines of the walls of her governance (to us, the church), oblivious to the reality of judgement and doom taking place all around her. When hearing of the voice, her blood-relative, wailing in the streets, she intended to silence his voice to save face and put on a false perception that things were not falling apart. Perhaps much of The Church today is like Esther, failing to fulfill the totality of our God-given governance in The Kingdom of God to overthrow the kingdom of darkness. Perhaps we have wasted too much time catering to comforting the world, coddling our own comforts of idolatry and perfecting passivity.

In verses 5-12, Esther’s response to Mordecai when he sent word to her of the edict, demanding that she go to the king and plead for the salvation and deliverance of her people was one of excuse motivated by fear. She believed that silence was more profitable for her own salvation. I propose that she had become so isolated within herself and from the king that she began to believe the lie of the enemy that she had no voice; that her petitions would fall to the ground as would her head.

Beloved, DO NOT fall into this deception! YOUR VOICE COUNTS!!! BE MOTIVATED BY THE FEAR OF THE LORD, NOT THE FEAR OF THE ENEMY AND MAN!!! It’s time to throw out excuses!!!

V. 13-14 (MSG)- “When Hathach told Mordecai what Esther had said, Mordecai sent her this message: ‘Don’t think that just because you live in the king’s house you’re the one Jew who will get out of this alive. If you persist in staying silent at a time like this [since you did not help when you had the chance (AMP)], help and deliverance will arrive for the Jews from someplace else; but you and your family will be wiped out. Who knows? Maybe you were made queen for just such a time as this.’”

I have heard the argument a number of times that someone living a holy life in this land is separated from the repercussions of the blood-stained soil of this land, from the judgement coming. Mordecai addressed this head on with Esther. She was deceived into thinking that just because she dwelled within the king’s home and was ‘his bride’ that she would be exempt from the judgement coming. Silence ushers in divine retribution (Ezekiel 33:16-21)

Beloved, silence is not an option to God. He is going to move and bring salvation and deliverance to our nation at some point in time; but we will be left out of the salvation if we as His Bride and His Church abandon our posts in this great war. Under military criminal code, the maximum penalty for desertion during a declared war is the death sentence. We are in a war right now and the enemy is pulling out all demons and weapons in his arsenal to ensure his edict withstands opposition. It is time to go all in and recognize that we were created and positioned for such a time as this. DO NOT ABANDON POST!!! You are only on the winning side when you rise up to your post, press in and forward fearlessly, refusing to back down to perdition (Heb. 10:39)

V. 4:15-17 (AMP)
“Then Esther told them to reply to Mordecai, ‘Go, gather all the Jews that are present in Susa, and observe a fast for me; do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my maids also will fast in the same way. Then I will go in to [see] the king [without being summoned], which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish.’…”

It is time to fast. I understand the cringe that must’ve gone up some spines when saying that; but it’s necessary. As Americans, we like to eat. America as a whole is fat. Fat on food, comforts, self-indulgence and idolatry. It’s time to cut off the fat. God made it clear in Isaiah 58 that the kind of fast He wants is one that breaks the chains of the oppressed, breaks bonds of wickedness, shatters the yoke, caring for orphans, widows, and the fatherless. It is only then that our light will shine forth bringing a new dawn, righteousness preceding us, and the Glory of the Lord on its heels. It’s then that He will hear our cries and answer us. We must have an unrelenting ‘all or nothing’ mentality!!! This is LIFE OR DEATH.

I encourage you to read the word the Lord gave for 2019: 2019: It’s All About Righteousness. I saw a great and mighty army arising and taking up their weapons to recover what had been lost and forgotten; relics of righteousness. You will find empowerment and a deeper insight into what God wants to do now.

In His name,
Katie, Pure Fire of Yahweh
