A Harvest You Didn’t Plant

On Saturday morning while enjoying my quiet time with the Lord in prayer and worship, I opened my Bible and when I looked at where it opened to, I heard the voice of the Lord pronounce something so clearly. Open in my Bible was Galatians 6 and the title of that section was, “We Harvest What We Plant.” As I read it, the Lord declared in a booming voice in the room, “YOU WILL HARVEST WHAT YOU DIDN’T PLANT.”

I began to inquire of the Lord His meaning in that statement. I am not a foreigner to the understanding of sowing and reaping. I am also not one to think it odd that He would make such a bold statement contrary to what Paul wrote when writing his letter to the Galatians, for He is the One Who does all things impossible and beyond our comprehension. I am even further not surprised that He spoke this because He has over the past few months sporadically stated and revealed the same thing, in varying ways; whether through words or visions. As I sought Him, He spoke the following:

“NOW is the time that you will step into the new and the unheard of! NOW is the time that you will step into a new harvest! NOW is the time that you will harvest what you didn’t plant! NOW is the time that the natural order of things no longer is the only way; for I am making a new way! A harvest has sprung up that you didn’t plant in a land that has been sown into before you. It is a land that you didn’t know was even yours as an inheritance.”

As I read the first section of chapter 6 in Galatians, I sensed what the Lord was hinting at in His “NOW Word”. He was drawing emphasis to verse 9 and I have shared a few versions below to expand your understanding before I expound upon my revelation:

Galatians 6:9
(AMP) Let us not grow weary or become discouraged in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap, if we do not give in.”
(TPT) And don’t allow yourselves to be weary or disheartened in planting good seeds, for the season of reaping the wonderful harvest you’ve planted is coming!”
(MSG) “So let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up, or quit.”

When I began to really study the verse, I discovered some very key things to know and understand, to really get what the Lord said to me. I know that there are many who feel like they have been through the ringer, through the fire, through the storm; and for some, may even feel as if they have been battered and beaten in the process…perhaps, even too broken to recover. I’m going to break down this verse before I share a deeper word.

The verse in the Greek would read, “And [in] well doing not we should grow weary in time for due we will reap a harvest not giving up.” The phrase “we should grow weary” is derived from two words meaning “to be faint or weary, in heart.” They denote “losing heart, or being negatively influenced with the outcome of experiencing inner weariness.”

One of the most important parts of this verse I believe, is the next phrase, “in time.” The word for this is “KAIROS”, meaning “fitting season, the right moment, favorable moment, opportune time, opportunity.” It comes from the word, “kara”, which means “head.” This is saying that things are “COMING TO A HEAD”, or to “take full advantage of.”

The word “due” means “one’s own, property.” “We will reap a harvest” is referring to “receiving a reward for well-doing.” The word “not” is like an “if, then” conditional statement. The last part, “giving up” means “to let go, unloose, release.”

In this revelation of verse 9, I believe that in this hour God is saying, “Do not allow yourselves to become swayed by the circumstances surrounding you, nor identify with them. Do not allow heartsickness to cause you to relinquish what has been designated as your own inheritance, for NOW THINGS ARE COMING TO A HEAD! It is time to take full advantage of the favor of My face, the open doors set before you, of the season of outpouring I have ordained for you. DO NOT under any circumstance, let go of My promises, for they WILL always come to pass, bearing fruit. IF you do not turn away from Me, THEN I will pour out double the recompense for your troubles, double the blessing for your obedience and steadfastness, AND I will bless you beyond your wildest dreams. DO NOT MISS THIS MOMENT! SEIZE IT WITH ALL OF YOUR BEING!”

Beloved, NOW IS THE TIME to not let go! NOW IS THE TIME to take hold of what is AT HAND! DO NOT LET the enemy of your souls win and steal your destiny from you!!!

I read a post this morning on Facebook about the wondrous works of God when we do not give up; and I saw a comment from a woman that brought deep sorrow in my spirit for the body of Christ in the face of adversity. She said that ‘she just didn’t have it in her and couldn’t do it anymore, that she had been through too much to keep going.’ She had given up. The enemy has arisen in this hour to throw out every punch, jab, throw, and weapon in his desperate attempt to thwart the destinies of God over His Bride; and it infuriates me. It infuriates me that he has violated, assaulted, and silenced the children of God to the point of defeat.
Jesus said in Matthew 10:7-8, (TPT) And as you go, preach this message: ‘Heaven’s Kingdom realm IS ACCESSIBLE, CLOSE ENOUGH TO TOUCH.’ You must CONTINUALLY bring healing to lepers and to those who are sick, and MAKE IT YOUR HABIT to BREAK OFF the demonic presence from people, and raise the dead back to life. FREELY YOU HAVE RECEIVED the power of the Kingdom, SO FREELY RELEASE it to others.”

THIS is what we were made for! The only way that we don’t have Kingdom authority and power, Heaven’s backing, angelic assistance, and victory is if we set our focus on defeat and give it up. I feel the stern warning of the Father saying, “DO NOT relinquish this call! If you do, you become another destiny snuffed out by the enemy. This goes beyond you! If you give up, you have not only relinquished YOUR destiny, but you have aided in the enemy’s stake at the souls from your intended harvest, as well as others’. He doesn’t just win with taking you out, but he will not stop until he takes out your harvest! DO NOT QUIT!!!”

FATHER, MAY WE CHOOSE TO SET OUR FOCUS ON YOU, JESUS! The storms of this life amount to nothing when our eyes are fixed on You, the Author and the Finisher of our Faith! It is then that we will fulfill ALL that You have destined and created us for! It is then that we will see the world ignited with Burning Ones, set ablaze with the Undaunted Ones, and see the fullness of the reward of Your suffering returned to You, Jesus!

Hebrews 12:1-3 (MSG)
“Do you see what this means—all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means WE’D BETTER GET ON WITH IT. Strip down, start running—and NEVER QUIT! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. KEEP YOUR EYES ON JESUS, Who both began and finished this race we’re in. STUDY HOW He did it. Because HE NEVER LOST SIGHT OF WHERE HE WAS HEADED—that exhilarating finish in and with God—He could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now He’s there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility He plowed through. THAT will shoot adrenaline into your souls!”

Now, I bring things full circle to the original Word of the Lord at the beginning of this post. When we truly grasp these truths above, that WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS THROUGH CHRIST JESUS and that WE DO POSSESS EVERYTHING WE NEED TO FULFILL OUR DESTINY AS WE SEEK HIM IN THE SECRET PLACE; we are able to gather in the harvest of our own labors, AND ALSO the harvest of souls born from the toils of the pioneers gone before you!

John 4:37-38
(MSG) “The Harvester isn’t waiting. He’s taking His pay, gathering in this grain that’s ripe for eternal life. Now the Sower is arm in arm with the Harvester, triumphant. That’s the truth of the saying, ‘This one sows, that one harvests.’ I sent you to harvest a field you never worked. Without lifting a finger, you have walked in on a field worked long and hard by others.”
(TPT) And this confirms the saying, ‘One sows the seed and another reaps the harvest.’ I have sent you out to harvest a field that you haven’t planted, where many others have labored long and hard before you. And now you are privileged to profit from their labors and reap the harvest.”
