A little over a week ago, I awoke to see the news of the sudden eruption of the Volcán de Fuego in Guatemala and the devastation that ensued upon the Guatemalans who resided in close proximity to the volcano. My heart is broken for those who were and are continuing to be affected by the aftermath of the initial eruption, as well as with the effects of the various other volcanic eruptions that have continued over the past months.
I began to seek the Lord over the increase of the awakening of volcanoes across the earth since the beginning of the year. He reminded me of a blog post I wrote back on January 31st, Super Blue Blood Moon. As I reviewed it and the word that the Lord released, I was brought to a deeper level of focus in my prayers, even as the Lord began to release a new word regarding the mass of erupting volcanoes.
Word of the Lord on June 4, 2018:
“The rocks are crying out in a mighty crescendo and roar. The depths of the deep are rumbling and releasing groans in praise. There is an awakening from the innermost being of earth, calling forth for the simultaneous awakening of the sons and daughters of Zion. The fire of My love is rising up, bursting forth! The cloud of My Glory is rolling in. The thick smog of My Spirit is invading all of My creation, descending upon every part.
Do not overlook the obvious. What you are seeing is not just happenstance. What you are seeing is a call to awaken. Just as a volcano can be active but be in a state of slumber, many of My creation are living their lives just like these volcanoes. These are those whom I have called to join My Burning Ones in ushering in what I am preparing to release in the nations.
Now is not the time to lay down in your comforts, complacency, and ceasing!!!
I have come to cast FIRE upon the earth! Oh, that it were already set ablaze for Me! Oh, that you would see your purpose in the earth and choose to walk in it!”
Years ago, the Lord gave me my life verse that I was to live out the rest of my life by. Luke 12:49 in The Passion Translation says, “I have come to set the earth on fire. And how I long for every heart to be already ablaze with this fiery passion for God!” In The Message version, verses 49-51 are stated a bit differently, “I’ve come to start a fire on this earth—how I wish it were blazing right now! I’ve come to change everything, turn everything rightside up—how I long for it to be finished! Do you think I came to smooth things over and make everything nice? Not so. I’ve come to disrupt and confront!”
I went back and reflected on this passage after the Lord released this word to me and began to delve deeper into the innermost intentions of when Jesus made this statement and what I found was astonishing.
When Jesus said that He has come to set the world on “fire”, the literal Greek translation means the “fire of God”–“transforming all that it touches into light and likeness with itself, bringing uninterrupted privilege of being transformed which happens by experiencing faith from Him.” The same fire is referred to in Leviticus 6:12-13 in which the fire of God is to be burning continuously at the entrance of the Tabernacle and it must never go out. First and foremost, Jesus came to bring His all-consuming, all-encompassing, never-ending fire upon the hearts of His creation. This fire was to be what sustains us and gives life to us. Our fire was never meant to grow cold, but to continually increase in power as He breathes His breath of life upon us.
When He said, “how I wish”, it was not an empty, unfulfilling desire. He literally meant “I will. Am willing. Intend. Design.”-“to desire, wanting what is best because someone is ready AND willing to act. The Lord extending His best offer. Desiring to birth His faith in us which also empowers, manifests His Presence.” It was never a part of His original design for us to not partake in this act of being world changers and nation-shakers. It is what we were created for. This was the dream in His heart before the foundations of the world were laid. This is His “best” for us. Are we READY AND WILLING TO ACT?
Lastly, when Jesus said that He wished it were “already” burning, He was saying, “already now, after all of this waiting. Referring to what is not strictly present but already impacts the present. Point of time preceding another, implying completion.” Can you imagine…Jesus waiting on us? Yes, Jesus IS in a sense waiting on us. Waiting on us to “WAKE UP!” and realize that He wants us to partner with Him in changing the future of nations and people! That is why Jesus says in Luke 19:40, “if My followers were silenced, the very stones would break forth with praises!” (TPT)
The sum of all of creation was created to worship and praise Jesus, the only One Who is worthy of praise. Of all of creation, we are God’s chosen ones and have the unique invitation to join Him in what He is doing. Creation is truly groaning, yes, breaking forth with praise; longing for the awakening of the sons and daughters of Zion to step up into their design and to step out into the world to truly turn the world rightside up!
What you are seeing take place in the earth is so much more than just natural happenings. What is taking place in the natural is a direct reflection of what is taking place in the spiritual realm. “Do not fear what you see and what is to come,” says the Lord, “but rather rise up out of your squishy comforts and accept who you were designed to be and walk in it! The world is waiting on you, I am waiting for you to join Me in bringing My plans to completion!”
