Healing Waters, Tree of Life

A few days ago, I made mention of how the Lord moved mightily during our Sunday morning service. After a few days dwelling on what the Lord released and how He crashed in on our plans and took over, I am ready to share a bit of what took place.

Church on Sunday morning was truly incredible and completely normal for God! During worship while in prayer, I felt Holy Spirit fall on me powerfully. I saw in the spirit a portal open in the supernatural realm and a pillar of swirling water descended upon the altar area. The sound of a mighty rushing waters began to increase in volume as I watched the waters churn. We just happened to be singing out of Isaiah 6, when Isaiah saw the Lord in His Temple and our worship and praise were being poured out like incense to the Lord. From the same opening that the pillar of water descended came an angel that was clothed in the brightest blue garments I have ever seen and it was his special assignment to churn the waters. He began singing, dancing, and spinning in praise within the waters and as he did, his wings as they touched would clap a thunderous sound as they stirred the waters. These were waters of divine and total healing.

The Lord reminded me of John 5 and the pool of Bethesda. John 5:1-4 (TPT) says,“Then Jesus returned to Jerusalem to observe one of the Jewish holy days. Inside the city near the Sheep Gate there is a pool called in Aramaic, The House of Loving Kindness. And this pool is surrounded by five covered porches. Hundreds of sick people were lying there on the porches—the paralyzed, the blind, and the crippled, all of them waiting for their healing. For an angel of God would periodically descend into the pool to stir the waters, and the first one who stepped into the pool after the waters swirled would instantly be healed.”  It goes on to say that there was a man who had been crippled for 38 years who laid beside the pool, always waiting for the angel to come and descend into the waters to stir them, awaiting eagerly his chance to enter the waters and be healed. There was just one problem though, he was unable to get into the waters himself. He required assistance and because only one person could receive their healing each time the angel came, and because hundreds with afflictions came awaiting the very same thing, he would always get passed over.

Enter Jesus.

Jesus notices him there helpless and asks if he truly wants to be healed. Because of mounting disappointment and discouragement, having missed his chance countless times before, the man replies in verse 7, “Sir, there’s no way I can get healed, for I have no one who will lower me into the water when the angel comes. As soon as I try to crawl to the edge of the pool, someone else jumps in ahead of me.”

How many of you can say you relate to this man? He spent 38 years debilitated, void of a truly free life. When he saw an out laid right before him, he waited at the water’s edge for who knows how long. His freedom was laid right before him, within reach, yet he was unable to lay hold of it. After all of the discouragement, he began to believe he would never get his healing. He recognized his need for assistance but due to hope deferred, he was blind to the Healer standing before him

Perhaps there’s pain, sickness, affliction that you have been dealing with for a long time or for someone else. Perhaps you’ve been praying for healing for years only to see no results. Perhaps hope deferred has made your heart sick. (Proverbs 13:12Perhaps you’ve become so used to the pain that it has become part of your identity and you’ve learned to just deal.

The Lord spoke to me when seeing the healing waters on Sunday that He wanted to release divine healing in the room, especially for those who had dealt with affliction for a long time. We released that word and called people forward to jump into the healing waters. While praying for people, the Lord gave me a word of knowledge that there was someone dealing with chronic pain for a long time and He wanted to heal them. No one came forward for it, so Jesus pointed the man out to me. Jeremiah and I went to pray for him and he knew I read his mail when we walked up to him. I told him I knew it was him and he said that he had been dealing with severe arthritis for four years and had chronic pain in his wrist and knee. We told him Jesus pointed him out because He wanted to heal him and asked if we could pray for him. He said “okay” and as we were praying, I asked if he felt anything different. He said there was a little change and that he could deal, that he was fine. This man is an example of many of us, just like the crippled man. We come to a place of either believing that this is our life now or that others need the healing more than us and that we can just deal. When we believe that others are worse off and need the healing more than us, we submit to that lie and are basically limiting God’s power, saying that He has a limited supply of healing.

So with the crippled man, Jesus responded to him in verses 8 and 9“Stand up! Pick up your sleeping mat and you will walk!” Immediately he stood up—he was healed! So he rolled up his mat and walked again! Now this miracle took place on the Jewish Sabbath.”  Jesus offered his healing but it required action on his part. Either he could lie there and remain in his identity of being crippled or he could choose to believe Jesus and respond and step into his original design. Thus we return to Proverbs 13:12 for the second and most important part, “but a promise fulfilled is a tree of life.”

Jesus did miraculous miracles that day. I had also got a word of knowledge about a rotator cuff and before I could say it, Jesus had healed a woman who had a torn one and had been unable to lift her arm for seven months! There was another woman who had separated vertebrae and was in constant severe pain, unable to cope. She woke up that morning in so much pain, she almost didn’t come to church. She didn’t want to take pain meds because they make her fall asleep. She came to church in excruciating pain and Jesus came as she was in the waters and completely healed her! No more pain!!! YES, LORD!!!

Beloved, these miracles are for each one of you today just as they were in their time. The same Jesus that healed in these moments is the same Jesus that sees your need and wants to give you a tree of life! We must not allow ourselves to identify with the afflictions upon us, but press in and press on into the healing waters set before us! Jesus has MORE THAN ENOUGH of what we need when we need it! Reach out and take hold of His blessing today!
