This past Sunday during worship at church, the Lord began to give me a vision that at first was a bit cloudy to me. It began to form but I struggled to understand and see it clearly. It took me coming home and spending the next two days seeking the Lord for clarity of the vision to receive the fullness of it. Here it is:
I saw the nations of the U.S. and Russia appear from an aerial view position. Then I saw the faces of Trump and Putin appear over their nations. Afterward, I saw an exchange of missiles launched and flying over the ocean. I knew that Russia was launching attacks on the U.S. I heard the words, ‘preemptive strike’. Russia was full of pride and hate and I knew they were launching strikes in full confidence that they were in supreme power. But I felt that this strike would result in a failed attack because God’s hand of favor was upon the U.S. The Russian missile was destroyed out over the ocean before it even reached the U.S. I saw Putin freak out, yelling in anger at the defeat that had occurred. This was his attempt to weaken, decimate, and hinder the U.S. in a desperate attempt to gain control of an already lost situation. The power of the U.S. (and God’s power over it) is perceived as a great threat to Putin’s seat of global power. Most interesting is that the response missile on the U.S.’s behalf began to dissolve upon approach of the Russian borders. I sensed and felt that the Lord is using this brief reprieve as a warning and last grace given to Russia to give up fighting against what the Lord has established and turn to the Him. Every form of opposition to the Lord will have monumental impact as a whole.
The Lord said, “I hate communism! There is not a single thing that I like about it. It is oppressive, I hate oppression. It is restrictive, I hate restrictions. It is destructive, I hate destruction. I bring freedom and life. The enemy is the bringer of communism. Russia, this is not about a power struggle between nations. This is not about who has more weapons or manpower. This is about what I long to do in the nations. Russia, you are hated and despised by many because of your evil heart and the corrupt actions that flow from it.
Nevertheless, I love you and desire that you would turn from your wicked ways and return to Me. Open your hardened, closed off heart to Me and let Me come in to heal, reshape, and renew you. Make no mistake…if you do not take heed of My word and return to Me in brokenness and in repentance, your healing will not come. I have plans for you, Russia…great plans, if you would only give up your thirst for power and surrender to Me. I am not willing that any of My little ones perish. Open up your heart to Me, Russia.”
I began thinking about the words, ‘preemptive strike’ and what that could mean. I looked it up to get a clear understanding of its meaning and here is what I found: “a first strike attack with nuclear weapons carried out to destroy an enemy’s capacity to respond. A preemptive strike is based on the assumption that the enemy is planning an imminent attack.” Now, I do not believe that this meant that there is going to be an actual nuclear missile/war to take place. I believe it was an attack of some sort from Russia in an attempt to debilitate the U.S. and prevent any future possible offensive moves on the U.S.’s part.
There have been many attempts on the Russian side to come against the U.S., the country with the greatest resources in the world right now. I believe that the Lord’s hand of favor is upon America right now. Putin is a dictator and has been leading his people far away from the Lord, siding with the evil one. His heart has been hardened and callous to the Lord and that is evident through his approval in the ban of sharing the Gospel within the borders of the nation. With the dissolution of the missile upon the Russian borders in my vision, I believe that this it is a sign of the grace of God to turn the heart of Russia back to Him. He gives grace upon grace, even when we do not deserve it. His love for Russia is deep and His pursuit unrelenting.
Brothers and sisters, it is not time to freak out and get caught up in the news and media. It is not time to get caught up in theories, theologies, and opinions. It is also not time to become apathetic to the reality at hand. When we start feeling nothing towards the injustices and problems around the world, our hearts have become just as calloused as those who have turned from the Lord to follow other gods. When we fail to seek His heart for the circumstances being presented, we fail to be the sons and daughters we are called to be. It is time to stop hating Russia for the past, present, and future and realize that God loves Russia. He loves His creation and though His remnant remains, He longs to raise up burning ones among the nation to carry the Gospel with fervor and zeal to all nations. He wants the hearts of all in Russia, just as in every nation to turn to Him. Healing, restoration, and freedom comes when we realize our wickedness, turn to Him, and repent.
Philippians 1:28 (AMP)
“And in no way be alarmed or intimidated [in anything] by your opponents, for such [constancy and fearlessness on your part] is a [clear] sign [a proof and a seal] for them of [their impending] destruction, but [a clear sign] for you of deliverance and salvation, and that too, from God.”
2 Chronicles 7:13-15, 19-22 (NLT)
“At times I might shut up the heavens so that no rain falls, or command grasshoppers to devour your crops, or send plagues among you. Then if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to every prayer made in this place.
But if you or your descendants abandon Me and disobey the decrees and commands I have given you, and if you serve and worship other gods, then I will uproot the people from this land that I have given them. I will reject this Temple that I have made holy to honor My name. I will make it an object of mockery and ridicule among the nations. And though this Temple is impressive now, all who pass by will be appalled. They will ask, ‘Why did the Lord do such terrible things to this land and to this Temple?’ And the answer will be, ‘Because His people abandoned the Lord, the God of their ancestors, who brought them out of Egypt, and they worshiped other gods instead and bowed down to them. That is why He has brought all these disasters on them.’”
