This past week, the Lord gave me a powerful word while in prayer. I shared the first part of it on Saturday in my post titled New Wine. Today, I will be sharing the second part of that word.
Part 2
The Lord said, “To the degree that My children display hunger for a move of My Spirit is the degree that I will meet them and pour it out. Hunger precedes precipitation. Precipitation breeds expectation. Expectation ushers in outpouring. There MUST be a holy discontentment with business as usual. That discontentment cries out that there must be more than what you see and feel, which tills the ground making it ripe for the harvest.
You must exhaust yourself of yourself. You must purpose that what you see is nothing compared to what I am capable and willing to do.
How hungry are you? Hunger is the best seasoning to a craving spirit. How bad do you want it? How bad do you want what I am willing to give? YOU pave the way for an inexhaustible outpouring to come forth! Then be amazed at what I pour out!”
“Those who are tired of things as usual will surely change the world!”
David Hogan, a Warrior for the Kingdom said once while inspired by the Holy Spirit, “If you want a move of God, you move and then God moves.”
Larry Sparks in his book, Ask For Rain: Receiving Your Inheritance of Revival and Outpouring stated, “The rains of revival have already been poured out to us so that we can cry out for an even greater demonstration of God’s power and Presence to be poured out through us. It all begins and ends with hunger.”
Fasting Precipitates the Latter Rain.
Joel 2:20-24
“…Surely the Lord has done great things! Don’t be afraid, O land. Be glad now and rejoice, for the Lord has done great things. Don’t be afraid, you animals of the field, for the wilderness pastures will soon be green. The trees will again be filled with fruit; fig trees and grapevines will be loaded down once more. Rejoice (be glad), you people of Jerusalem! Rejoice (delight) in the Lord your God! For the (former) rain He sends demonstrates His faithfulness. Once more the autumn rains (abundant showers) will come (for you, showers of words to refresh and nourish your soul), as well as the (latter) rains of spring. The threshing floors will again be piled high with grain, and the presses will overflow with new wine and olive oil.”
The rains of His Spirit have already been poured out. He is calling us to a higher level. We can no longer continue in the daily grind…He is way beyond that and He has no respect for our boxes that we try to confine Him to. In the same regard, we have to get out of the way. There is no place in the outpouring for our expectations, pride, entitlements, or whatever is a hang up. When we truly come to a place of total inability, that is when God can use us most powerfully. It is in that place that He will get all the glory He is due for what He releases.
Part 3 and the conclusion to this prophetic word from the Lord will come within the next few days.
