God has taken us to Northeastern India to a state called Mizoram.  We have the privilege of joining our friend and his team from YWAM in doing ministry here.  Our friend and his team have been here leading a Worship and Intercession Seminar and it was exciting to join them after just hearing of the amazing healings and testimonies from their first night.

We have never been to Mizoram before and we found that upon arriving in the small airport set in the middle of the jungle on Friday, what we imagined Mizoram to be was nothing like what it truly is.  Mizoram seems like a different country.  The Mizos are Indian, but they have an Asian ancestry since they border China.  A brief history of the Mizos is that they used to be head hunters.  But some British people answered the call of the Lord to “Go!”, and they took the Gospel of Jesus to this intimidating and murderous unreached people group.  Jesus became and is now the foundation of the Mizos.  Just in being in the first meeting, it was amazing to see the love for the Lord that the people have!  I became so excited for what God is doing in Mizoram and couldn’t wait to see what all He has planned here.

Saturday, Jeremiah spoke during the morning service about the importance of intercession. Following this session, there was great unity among the people as they repented and prayed for their Burmese neighbors of whom they had great prejudice against.  During the evening service, we worshipped and broke out into praying for people.  This was the first time I had been in a setting where the Holy Spirit was moving and I was seeing healings take place before me as I prayed for people.  The first man that came to me came for salvation and to be healed from intestinal problems.  The second came and wanted healing from problems with his nervous system.  A young girl came forward who has struggled with irregular periods and issues because of that.  The Holy Spirit healed each one and filled them.  One by one, people came forward for healing or just wanting more Holy Spirit.  During that night, people who had been prayed for had legs grow out, stomachs, back pain, and elbows were healed, and blind eyes were opened!

On Sunday, Jeremiah and I shared about original design.  I shared part of my original design of God calling me to be a mother and how the enemy has tried to kill me through infirmity and take away from that word being true.  The enemy would do anything he can to rob us of our God-given destiny but God’s plan for us is to walk in the Truth of who He says we are.  So many people came forward for prayer to know their identity in Christ as well as for healing.  I prayed for a girl with Hepatitis C, people with headaches, stomach ulcers, eye problems, and nervous system issues were all healed!  I was able to speak prophetically over people through their healing and every person I laid hands on was overcome by Holy Spirit and fell down.

This was all so exciting for me and was the moment where the measure of my faith was made evident.  Each time Jesus healed people, He had faith.  The disciples were unable to cast out demons and asked Jesus why.  He replied that they were faithless and corrupt people, and then with one statement, set free the demon-possessed boy.  I have been in a season of believing for my healing and contending for it from a diagnosis of ulcerative colitis from when I was young, but also from a diagnosis of poly cystic ovary syndrome, both of which are said to be chronic, lifelong things that can/will rob me in my life.  In the world’s eyes, these things look irrepairable, but in the eyes of Jesus, they amount to nothing compared to the power of God.  Jesus told me that if I don’t have the faith to believe for my healing, then how can I have the faith it takes to believe for the healing of each person I laid hands on?  I always wanted to be used to bring forth healing and breakthrough in people but I let the enemy bring in the lie that I wasn’t worthy enough to be used by God in this way.  It wasn’t until I chose to have the faith Jesus called the disciples to have, that I was able to see these miraculous things happen before my eyes and through my hands.

Romans 4:20-22 says, “Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise.  In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God.  He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever He promises.  And because of Abraham’s faith, God counted him as righteous.”  Just as Abraham refused to believe anything but what God promised, God was able to move freely and powerfully in his life.  We were all a dream in God’s heart before the foundation of the earth.  If you don’t know who God says you are, I encourage you to ask Him, because you are fearfully and wonderfully made!  If there are any areas in your life where you believe anything other than the good things that are from Him, I urge you to give it up to God so that blessings may be unlocked and released in your life; and the power of God can flow through you in these incredible ways!
