On January 6, 2026, I was awakened in the night by the Lord saying, “The Lion has roared, who can but prophesy?”, anchoring this word in Amos 3:6–8 and Psalm 46.
Amos 3:6-8 TPT
“Does the war trumpet sound in the city without the people being frightened? Does calamity come to a city if it has not passed through Yahweh’s hands? Indeed, Lord Yahweh does nothing without revealing his secrets to his servants the prophets. The lion has roared! Who is not afraid? Lord Yahweh has spoken! Who will not prophesy?”
PROPHETIC WORD—
As I sought the Lord for understanding of what He was speaking, He said:
“Many are they who come and desire to reap a reward for their deeds, without the right channels of righteousness. Like the Euphrates or Tigris that flow out from My hand, so flow forth from My hand, righteous judgments and demands of right standing. There is no middle ground here. There is a simple standard, and without that measure, many will not measure up.
So, as I look upon the nations and I weigh them by way of this measure, I see a great multitude who are left wanting.
I am coming to judge the nations who have said of themselves, “they have no need of Me.“ To the self proclaimed “lords“ of these nations, they will fall.
Watch for the blackbird that strikes in the dark of the night in the Middle East. It serves Me and flies at My command. It carries My judgment against those who have set themselves against Me to strike My Beloved. The sound of rumbling from the ground will reverberate forth as nations tremble at the resulting tremors. The scroll the bird carries in its mouth is My solemn decree against the power brokers of these lands who have traded hands and gambled for the garments of My righteous ones. The accuser will become the accused without contest. It will surely roll forth swiftly, and it cannot be stopped. Those who have dealt treacherously will be dealt with speedily.
I, the Lord of Hosts, have spoken.”
“Tigris” carries meanings such as “Synthetic Authority,” “Enforced Government,” “Contention,” as well as the older form “Haddakel,” tied to sharpness, swiftness, and frivolity, while “Euphrates” means “Good Fruitful One.”
From His hand, both fruitfulness and overthrow are released toward the righteous and against darkness.
God is confronting hidden works of evil, lifting His righteous out of the grasp of the wicked, and revealing Himself as the God who brings both ruin and revival.
He is Lord of Hosts, Yahweh Sabaoth
Psalm 46
“God, you’re such a safe and powerful place to find refuge! You’re a proven help in time of trouble— more than enough and always available whenever I need you.
So we will never fear even if every structure of support were to crumble away. We will not fear even when the earth quakes and shakes, moving mountains and casting them into the sea. For the raging roar of stormy winds and crashing waves cannot erode our faith in you.
Pause in his presence
God has a constantly flowing river whose sparkling streams bring joy and delight to his people. His river flows right through the city of God Most High, into his holy dwelling places. God is in the midst of his city, secure and never shaken.
At daybreak his help will be seen with the appearing of the dawn.
When the nations are in uproar with their tottering kingdoms, God simply raises his voice, and the earth begins to disintegrate before him.
Here he comes! The Commander! The mighty Lord of Angel Armies is on our side! The God of Jacob fights for us!
Pause in his presence
Everyone look! Come and see the breathtaking wonders of our God. For he brings both ruin and revival. He’s the one who makes conflicts end throughout the earth, breaking and burning every weapon of war.
Surrender your anxiety. Be still and realize that I am God. I am God above all the nations, and I am exalted throughout the whole earth.
Here he stands! The Commander! The mighty Lord of Angel Armies is on our side! The God of Jacob fights for us!
Pause in his presence”
How to Pray
Prayer becomes a partnership with this decree, aligning hearts and nations with His purposes.
– Pray for holy fear and alignment
– Ask the Lord to restore a healthy fear of Him in the Church and among leaders.
– Pray for nations and leaders to turn from pride and declare their dependence on the Lord.
– Pray for exposure and justice
– Intercede for hidden corruption, especially in government and economic systems, to be uncovered and judged righteously.
– Pray that the “power brokers” who have oppressed the righteous would either repent deeply or be removed from their positions.
– Pray for protection of the righteous in the Middle East
– Ask God to shield His people wherever this “blackbird” judgment lands.
– Pray for salvations, visitations, and protection for believers and innocent civilians in affected regions.
– Pray for the remnant to arise
– Ask the Lord to strengthen weary believers, impart courage, and unify His remnant across nations.
– Pray for bold, uncompromising voices to be raised up who speak truth with love and authority.
– Pray for both ruin and revival
– Invite God to bring ruin to demonic structures, trafficking, oppression, and injustice.
– Simultaneously ask for a sweeping revival: salvations, healings, deliverances, and hearts awakened to His presence.
How to Act Accordingly
This decree is not only to be observed, but to be lived.
– Examine and align your own life
– Invite the Lord to weigh you by His simple standard of righteousness.
– Repent quickly where there is compromise, and intentionally choose holiness in hidden and public places.
– Stand as part of the remnant
– Refuse to bow to cultural pressure that contradicts God’s word.
– Stay faithful in worship, Scripture, fellowship, and obedience, even when it is costly.
– Speak and decree with authority
– Verbally agree with the Lord’s decrees over your family, city, and nation.
– Use Scripture (especially Amos 3 and Psalm 46) as language for declarations of His rule and protection.
– Watch and discern world events
– Stay alert to developments in the Middle East and among nations, asking the Lord for discernment instead of fear.
– Let current events drive you to intercession rather than to anxiety or speculation.
– Serve and support the righteous
– Stand with believers, ministries, and communities who are under pressure for righteousness’ sake.
– Give, encourage, and practically support those on the front lines of justice, evangelism, and mercy.
– Anchor yourself in God as refuge
– Live from the reality of Psalm 46: God as your safe and powerful place of refuge, even as nations shake.
– Make space to “be still” before Him, so that your responses flow from His presence rather than from the swirl of the news cycle.
This decree announces a time where God’s roar brings both shaking and secure refuge, ruin for entrenched darkness and revival for those who belong to Him.
