From the Threshing Floor Through the Open Door

On December 6, 2024 in prayer I heard the Lord say:

“It’s a new day. It’s a new day for the awakening of My people to step forward and step through the door of transition. What is ahead is not for the faint of heart, which is why I have been weeding through Gideon’s army in order to draw out and draw forth dread champions that will stop at nothing to keep pressing forward and onward!

There is no room for turn-tails or turncoats in My army; and I will show Myself faithful and strong through these ones. My grace is sufficient to enable every single one to step up and step out in bold faith against the grain of the culture and to press beyond all limitations. I say to these ones, “Onward! Christian soldiers!“ The day to press onward has come!”

We meet Gideon in Judges 6, a man threshing wheat in a wine press while enemy armies have invaded and surround his land. They have pillaged relentlessly to the point of intimidation that has desecrated the identity of who Israel was called to be and caused them to hunker down.

Gideon is met by the Lord in a time of threshing and sifting in the place of crushing. It is here that his true identity is uncovered and restored through the spoken word of Yahweh that pierced his heart and through the lies, beckoning him higher and to step into destiny.

Judges 6:16-17, 20-24 TPT
“Yahweh replied, “My presence and My power will be with you. Believe Me, Gideon, you will crush the Midianites as easily as if they were only one man!” Then Gideon said, “If it’s really true that You will go with me and that I have found grace before Your eyes, then show me a miracle-sign to prove that You are really Yahweh speaking with me.

God’s Angel said to Gideon, “Place the meat and the bread on that rock and pour the broth over them.” And Gideon did so. Then Yahweh’s Angel reached out the staff he was holding and touched the meat and the bread. All at once, supernatural fire sprang up from the rock and burned up the meat and the bread. Then the Angel of Yahweh vanished from his sight. Immediately, Gideon realized that he had seen the Angel of Yahweh! Terror stricken, he said, “Oh, Lord Yahweh! I have seen the Angel of Yahweh face-to-face!” But Yahweh spoke to him and said, “Be at peace. Don’t be afraid. You will not die.” So Gideon built an altar to Yahweh there and named it “In Yahweh there is Peace.” (The altar is still standing at Ophrah, which belongs to the clan of Abiezer.)”

The threshing floor is the door to victory when you receive the King Who meets you there and calls you to come up higher and to step forward and into victory!

Yahweh named our firstborn son, Azariah Gideon, which means, “Yahweh has helped the mighty warrior”. Gideon is the son of Joash. It’s interesting to me that with my middle name being JoAshley, it ties to Gideon’s father’s name. Joash means, “fire of Yahweh”.

We must then also understand that we need Him with us, in us, and clothing us with Himself to be victorious. We cannot win any battle, much less take a single breath, without His Grace sustaining us and helping us. We must decrease so that Christ in us can increase!!!

Judges 7:1-3 TPT
“Now, the Baal-Fighter (that is, Gideon) and his men rose early and encamped by the Spring of Trembling. The Midianites had encamped in the valley to the north, below Moreh. Yahweh spoke to Gideon: “You have too many in your army. If I give them victory over the Midianites, they might claim credit for themselves at my expense, thinking that they had won the victory on their own. Announce to your men, ‘All who are trembling and afraid, hurry back home and leave Mount Gilead!’ ” So twenty-two thousand went back home, and only ten thousand stayed with Gideon.”
Judges 7:4-8 TPT
“Then Yahweh spoke to Gideon again, “You still have too many men. Take them down to the water, and I will test them for you there. If I tell you a man should go with you, he will go. If I tell you a man should not go with you, he will not go.” So Gideon brought the soldiers down to the water, and Yahweh said to him, “Separate those who drink from their cupped hands and drink as a dog laps from those who kneel down to drink.” Of the ten thousand men, only three hundred lapped water from their cupped hands; all the others knelt to drink. Then Yahweh told Gideon, “I will give you victory over the Midianites with the three hundred men who cupped their hands and drank. Tell everyone else to go home.” So Gideon sent all the Israelites home except the three hundred, who kept the supplies and shofars of those who had left. Now the Midianites were camped down below in the valley.”

The first commands of God given to Gideon were to destroy the demonic altars given over to the enemy in his family. This act of bold obedience positioned him to then destroy the strongholds in his region and over the people; and to drive out and utterly defeat the enemies encroached upon them.

He will cause you to rise up with courage in the very areas where strongholds were built in your life, to destroy them and to lead those who face the same thing. You will become a symbol of freedom and valor to those who are hungry for the greater glory.

To those who are comfortable with their walls, you will become the compelling and propelling force to cause them to return to their limitations while you charge onward.

Judges 7:9-11 TPT
“That night Yahweh commanded Gideon, “Get up and attack the camp; I am giving you victory over the Midianites! But if you are afraid to engage them, first go down to the camp with your servant Purah. Listen to what they are saying, and then you will be brave and have the courage to attack.” So Gideon and his servant Purah went down and approached the outposts of the enemy camp.”

The enemy doesn’t want you to know that he knows you are strong and able because He Who is with you is all-powerful and enabling you to overcome!

If he can cause you to shrink back out of fear and self-preservation from intimidation and trepidation, then he has you hunkered down and will advance to overwhelm you.

Yet, we have this eternal covenant and promise that He will be with us and help us!

Judges 7:13-14 TPT
“As soon as Gideon arrived, he heard an enemy soldier telling a friend about a dream. He was saying, “Well, I had a dream of this huge commotion in our camp. I dreamed a round loaf of barley bread came whirling into our camp and leveled a tent. It hit the tent so hard it turned it upside down, and the tent collapsed on the ground.” His friend interpreted the dream and said, “Your dream symbolizes the sword of the Israelite, Gideon son of Joash! It can’t mean anything else! God has given him victory over Midian and our whole army!””
Judges 7:15 TPT
“When Gideon heard about the man’s dream and what it meant, he fell to his knees and worshiped Yahweh. Then he went back to the Israelite camp and shouted, “Come on, it’s time to strike! Yahweh is giving you victory over the Midianite army!””

We must be intentional to remain low and humble before the Lord, continually allowing Him to lead us forward. He is the Lord of hosts, Commander of Angel Armies! With Him on our side, we will not fail!!!

It is time to unmask our fires and to loose our roar in the enemy’s camp!

Judges 7:16-18 TPT
“He divided his three hundred men into three groups and gave each man a shofar and a clay jar hiding a torch inside it. He told them, “Follow me! When I get to the edge of the camp, watch me closely and do exactly what I do. When my group and I blow our shofars, then you blow yours all around the camp and shout, ‘For Yahweh and for Gideon!’ ”
Judges 7:19-22 TPT
“Just before midnight, after the changing of the Midianite guard, Gideon and his hundred men came to the outskirts of the camp. Then each of the three groups blew the shofars and broke the clay jars that hid the torches inside. They held their torches in their left hands, the shofars in their right, and shouted a thunderous battle cry, “A sword for Yahweh and for Gideon!”

Each man held his position surrounding the camp. And the entire enemy army was shocked awake by the thunderous noises of Gideon’s army! They all panicked and fled, yelling as they ran away! When they sounded their three hundred shofars, Yahweh made the enemy troops turn against each other with their own swords. The Midianites fled toward Zarerah as far as Beth Shittah, as far as the outskirts of the town of Abel Meholah near Tabbath.”

The only turntails on the battle field will be in the enemy’s camp as confusion is wrought through our boldness and faith-filled decrees! The sword of the Lord is our weapon, and when thrust forth from our mouth, the enemy cannot withstand!!!

It’s your time, Dread Champions!!! It’s time to arise and shine, for your light has come!!!

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10:38-39‬ ‭TPT‬‬
“And He also says, “My righteous ones will live from My faith. But if fear holds them back, My soul is not content with them!” But we are certainly not those who are held back by fear and perish; we are among those who have faith and experience true life!”
